This Print Edition Limited Objet d’art. Friends and family edition

The word Sankofa comes from the Akan tribe and means "to go back and get," prompting us to reach back to the past to move forward. A crane looking backward with an egg at its mouth represents the Sankofa Adinkra symbol.

For this Print Edition Limited artwork, I used the endangered Black Crowned Crane and Fabergé egg as the subjects. This sketch is my offering to my ancestors and the universe through my and their communities' communities.
